I have an old existing garage that I need to pipe underground pex into. How should I do this? Rise the pex out of the ground outside the building and go through the siding? Or will I need to go under the garage and cut a hole in the concrete floor for the pex to enter...yikes. I have concerns of both ways....rise up outside the building - will freezing be a problem, even with insulation? , or attempt to cut a hole in the concrete floor, excavate down 3ft, then cut a hole in the foundation for pex to enter - lots of work.

Any thoughts appreciated.

I just did this and I chose to come up thru the floor. I used logstor insulated pex and it required a 4' radius to bend up into the building. I used the hole saw bit and a roto hammer drill from Homedepot. I drilled the four corners then connected the saw cuts and broke out the floor. Let me know if you want me to send you some photos of mine.

Just did mine this weekend. I came up through the floor also. I rented a 4-1/2" concrete bore drill, and small Excavator for $400.
