We need an insert at this house. if had extra i would buy both and wrap up for an early HOHOHO to me for next year ;-)

I was told by same employee that this store is NO longer going to carry any type of heat product ie. wood stoves ,pellet stoves ., so i asked what if i wanted to buy a stove and wanted it shipped to this store. she said no way no how no can do . Now this was not a store mgr, so i didnt go there , however in this market any time a customer want to make a 1k+ purcahse i would bend over backwards to make it happen. ( this is not a bashing session, iwas just surprised).

Just wondering, We have a zc that has used wood at some point but now is propane, it has a tight fitting damper, sooooooooo not sure if it double or triple wall in outside chase could a thimble be put in with minor mods to wainscoating panels above mantel, and the zc act as reflector. reason for this is this is my sons house and he is disabled and we moved to help him recover. next year we are building new home, and stove will come out?

Welcome, Longjohn. First, you need to determine if chimney inside chase is Class A chimney. It is heavy. Normally, inner 6" pipe-insulation-outer 8" pipe (or 8"-insulation-10"). Builder's box fireplaces don't normally have a heavy duty chimney. Wood stoves and inserts require Class A chimney, as the flue gases are much hotter.

one of my sons friends that he plays poker with is a pro sweep. and he stopped by one day recently and did take a peek at it , But i need to talk to him myself as my son said yeah it is ok......... of course he is hard to track down during the season. Thank for your reply. Is that a good deal for the englander. i am trying to convince my "banker" in the other room that but Honey we can get 2, two, zwei, dos.for the price of one. ..............

If those Englanders are half of the listed price...that's a super duper most excellent deal - best you'll ever find for new.
