Cape Cod, Ma
Had a job interview in New Bedford today.
Figured since I was 20+ miles off Cape Cod I'd make the trip extra worth it.

Called June at J+S Trucking in Berkley.
She has,
Platinum Fires for $260
Vermont's for $280
and Okies for $295

Since it has been so warm and I have about 10 Bags of last years Vermont's left over
I decided to try a ton of Platinum Fire Colorado Pine Super Premium

Good thick bags marked as "Easy Open"
As I unloaded them into the basement two bags at a time on my shoulder they seemed to feel heavy for pellets.
I don't have a scale here to weigh the bags but they just seemed a bit heavy.
Only problem I noticed was 4 of the bags had small splits on the side heat seals.
The splits were on the seams inside the stacked pallet not the outside. So no fork truck damage.
The bags while thick, seemed almost brittle.
As soon as this load of Vermont's in the hopper burn down I try them out after a cleaning tomorrow.

Talked with the Steve while I was picking them up.
He says they are planning on stocking Doug Fir pellets next season.
Probably be a limited supply. Depending on availability.
So if you want some call and reserve.

I hear the Platinum's are not as good as Vermont or Okies but should keep me and the dog warm till summer.

Let us know how they do for ya! I liked them overall. Tick more heat and I would do cartwheels for them! ;-)

OMV,

I would have if I knew where you were.

Be nice having a coffee over your little Campfire Cooker you have there.
Have to wait for a warm day so we don't get too chilled in your living room.

:bug:

Jus kiddin'

Did she say when she'd get the Doug fir and how much?

MacP,

Steve said next season. So I guess over the summer.

OMV,
How is your MV treating you. What are you finding with all your different pellets?
Any supeise favorites this year?
