got rained out at Fenway, but this helped to make up for almost wasted trip...

Set the trip to Fenway up back in DEC, and wouldn't ya know it, we get rained out. After many drinks we decided to go back to the hotel. Hit the hotel bar for a nightcap. Seems that Terry Francona stays there, too... so I got rained out, but got to get a pic with Tito. Whoulda thunk it?

Summit bad on the rain out but nice ending to a long day. When I went to Fenway (Early 90's) I think we stopped at the bar behind the green monster which at the time was called the Cask. (I might have the bar name wrong but boy did I stick out like a sore thumb with the New York accent)

Cask 'n flaggon.

My brother had tix and didn't go yesterday- he was counting on a rain out, and wanted to see the Bruins game anyway.

actually, the hyatt regency cambridge hotel bar... we did hit cask 'n flaggon before and after the rainout, however.

thats not Francona...thats Ben Kingsley....he played Gandhi in a movie once, forget the name of the movie though.

Bet Francona would never think his picture would be on a website called hearth.com. lol.

Personally I would be more honored to have my pic taken with a guy that stands on top of chimneys and rebuilds stoves, but I understand how good it must have felt to a sports fan to meet the guy. Glad he was there. Only one I ever ran into in a bar after a game was Bradshaw and you can't tell if he got drunk with you or not. He seems like he always is.

In the seventies in Dallas I met a lot of Cowboy players. But most of the time it was stepping over them in the floor on the way out of the house the next morning.

Excellent!!! Don't think I've ever seen that shiny noggin before.

If you go to Millinocket and go to the Pelletiers Restaurant there is always a halfway decent chance of spotting one of the Pelletiers there.

Summit, Tito looks really excited about taking that pic with you! I have always thought he would be a pretty nice guy. I always tread lightly around famous people. I figure they are getting bugged by dorks like me all of the time. I usually pretend like I don't know who they are, and make some generic, stupid comment! It usually happens in airports...

BTW, In terms of baseball bars. The Wrigley Field equivalent to the Cask n' Flagon is Murphy's Bleachers. Possibly one of the best places I have ever been in my life. If you even remotely like baseball, Wrigley has to be on your "bucket list". My wife even raves about how much fun we had!

Hello

The picture is kinda dark, but with Roxio PhotoSuite Software you can lighten the midtones to make it look better!

Let me know if this looks better?
