Heard from two places that sell pellets that GAP is going out of business. That is why they are not selling them at this time. One place was in Pa. and the other in N.J.
Anyone else hear the same thing?

I'll see what's on the wire. Hate to see a mill go under, But there product wasn't getting decent reviews, They kind of slipped!

IMHO they messed up letting Jeff Nichols go.

Wow...hate to see a local place go under but it really doesn't surprise me if that's the case. That's got to be a tough business to be in and their pellet didn't do that great for me in both of my stoves.

Could have just been poor business management. You can have the best pellets in the world but if you cannot control costs its lights out.

Bummer, was going to use them this year since a local guy was selling them. I'll have to see if he has any left.

I haven't got a reply, I sent off an email to them directly. Have to wait and see.

Their website is still up, May be a good sign?

Hate to hear the news of GAP possibly going under as they are very local to me. I burned them last season with no issues with them other than a little more ash then I would have liked.

When I ordered this season's pellets a few weeks ago at the Cozy Barn in WindGap, I was told they could not quote a price for the GAPs at that time. Guess I know why now.

In the last few days, I did however, see two pick-up trucks with trailers hauling a few tons each of GAPs in the Walnutport area (a few miles away from the mill). Might have been old stock or maybe they are still making them on a limited scale?

Hope they can manage to keep their mill rolling, I like supporting local business when I can.

Bummer, Hate to see any of them go. Wasn't the greatest pellet, But if the price was reasonable they were burnable. As good as NEWP's and GS from the NY mills. Maybe they should have contracted with the box stores? Its keeping Inferno and a few others in the game.

I just got an email from GAP and according to the representative, they are not closed. Direct quote:

"We are temporarily shut down due to shortage of raw materials. "
