Well just got the Harbor Freight 20 ton splitter and put it through the riggers today! Split some very wet elm and busted right through it. Pretty nice splitter for the money and small enough to move around by hand! Maple , honey locust, hackberry, hedge, ash, and mullberry next in line...worst first.

Need pictures.

I'll make a few videos and post them. Not enough videos on YouTube to really see what it can do. See a lot of people splitting dead straight grained stuff but not twisted gnarly stuff like the elm I split today. Just got the splitter this week and have a big stack of rounds to work on.

The current units are of a different source than the previous offerings they had a few years back. Let us know how it is working out when you have a chunk of time on it.

I have a HF 20 ton that's around 10 years old. I had a few issues with it, but it does a great job for the price! Can't wait to see pics of your newer one.

What was the price?

Yeah will see how it does in the long run. Frame is solid... motor started on first pull and splits good. For $700 it's all I needed! Took pics of the stringy gnarly elm I split yesterday. The only problem I saw was the motor mounted on the side behind the wheel could take a split falling off a get damaged so I add a deflector shield on the frame.
