Hard to see in the first photo, but there is waxed paper around the perimeter to avoid just that. liquid nail tends to ooze out from behind the trim.

Looks great and you can't beat the price, but does it give you enough clearance? Looks like a 3x3 size pad, unless you used those extra large tiles that are 16x16. My Harman manual says you need at least six inches clearance from the front door. I am overbuilding my hearth, making it 5x5, doing a kitty korner install and didn't want to come up short on any clearances. Had the room to do it as well, so I'll probably have a foot from the front door. Good luck.

looks real nice....
I see you got several heating options going on there.

you may find yourself removing the logset down the road, it interferes with the airwash for the glass

I see myself removing the $70 log set after I break it trying to clean the glass. If you stare at it too long it wants to break.
