I have a 15 year old P38+ stove. Recently it is hard to light. It needs to be on 4,5 or Turbo setting. Now when lit the combustion blower will shut down if turned below 4 and the auger runs constantly. Need help. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forum.

Have you THOROUGHLY cleaned your stove and venting? ESP clean?

That's a fairly old stove. If it has a lot of hours on it, the board may be toast. You'll need the old style board for a direct replacement. I don't know much about electronics but it's somewhat common, particularly on older stoves.

    Hopefully others will chime in.

Cleaned everything thoroughly. Tried again today. Same result. I have newer style circuit board that when it is hooked up it does not show the feed auger as working. I have a service tech coming next week, 1/30. I have installed my old board just to see if I got back to my old results. Thanks

So your old board is in and it's still doing the same thing?

Yes. Old board was put back in and auger runs constantly. ESP was cleaned this morning and re-installed.

if no, you may have the same ESP probe as on the old invincible, which would be quite differnt than the current ones.

Not sure about the micro switch. It has a low pressure switch. Where would the micro switch be located?

to the left side of the auger system, should be an arm attached to the cam system of the feeder (if you have the micro switch). the arm touches the micro switch every time the auer rotates. I've not seen one on a P38, but was common on older P61, and when it wasn't working the unit would feed constantly.
Is the combustion blower running constantly as well?
