I have the 207 shown here: https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/wiki/History_of_Upland_Stove_Company/

Except on mine, the oval shaped flue opening is on the back of the stove instead of the top. The manual I linked to says that the stove is designed for a 7" stovepipe, and that the piece that connects to the stove needs to be 'ovalized'. So my first question is, do I need to get 7" pipe? Or will 6 or 8 work adequately? Also, what do I do for that oval opening? Buy a special fitting? Or 'smush' a piece of 7" pipe myself to fit?

I'm not heating my home with this, just occasionally warming up my workshop. I want it to be safe, and burn good, but it doesn't have to be perfect. All in all this seems like a pretty neat stove.

Calling Mr Upland to the front desk... PM the webmaster if not.

Hopefully Craig (webmaster) will chime in shortly. He is the resident expert on this stove. I believe the 7" round pipe just needs ovalizing to fit. How tall a flue will you be putting on the stove and will it be straight up? My guess would be to use 8" to avoid puffback. 7" round is available, but perhaps not at Lowes?

Yeah I think 8" also makes the most sense, it's not a very tall chimney, maybe 12-15 feet. 7" round would be good, but this is just a shop heater so I have a limited budget and happen to have a lowes gift card, where they don't carry 7". Thanks for the feedback.
