I lit up last for the first time on Wednesday night. I had scored a big Maple tree last year and had been waiting all year to use it. I added a blower to my Hearthstone Heritage and I'm surprised how much of a difference it makes. I was able to get the main floor (stove is in the basement) up an additional 10 degrees over the normal room temperature despite a leaky house in terms of windows. I loaded it up at 10:00pm, went to bed, got up at 7:00 and the oil boiler had not come on once! Gotta love soapstone. I'm sure that fire was out by 3:00ish, but it sure holds the heat. I love fire!
