Question:

We are considering purchasing a Phoenix Hearthstone wood stove as an alternative heat source for our home. However, just a couple of questions. What is the surface temperature of the stove (assuming on all day - middle of winter)? Also, could we cook on the stove top? Thanks in advance for the answers.

Answer:

Surely you can cook on the stove. Surface temperatures of 350-500+ degrees are normal on this stove.
