Hi, new to this forum. I have the above natural gas insert installed in an existing masonry fireplace. In the winter we get a cold draft from the bottom of the insert. I looked where the exhaust and inlet pipe go through the damper and there is nothing there to stop the cold air from coming through. Is it ok to pack some insulation around the exhaust and inlet pipes where they go through the damper to keep the cold air out? If so, what kind of insulation should I use? Pink fiberglass (without vapor barrier), Roxul or something else?? Thanks
