Help I.D tree/split

It was growing along the highway (on Long Island) when it came down in a storm. You can see the trails left by the larvae.....and one of the beetles. Heres the pix. Cant fit the pic with the trails....sorry.

Locust...based on bark and where it was growing. Bugs don't help too much in tree ids.
 
I agree the bark looks like Black Locust. great firewood. I don't know bugs, but I bet somebody out there can ID trees by the insects that infest them
 
That is black locust. Do not burn it. It is horrible wood. I will pick it up for free, bugs too!
