my boss says he has a 25+ year old stove that was in his house when he bought it 25 years ago. it may be a while before he can get me a picture of it but he says it has a stone top but not stone sides. any idea what kind of stove this could be??

Are you sure it is a stone top and not a top covered with a stone Way back there were after market sellers that sold soap stone to be placed on top of stoves the claim was the ability to gently release heat over a longer period of time

not sure. hopefully will have a picture monday or so. my guess is it will be like a Franklin stove or something virtually worthless.
