I'm cleaning my combustor for the first time. Instructions say to flip it 180 degrees. Does that mean I turn it around so the intake side is now the exhaust side?

Yes that is correct.
Be careful that both gaskets are seated correctly after you clean it out. The smaller gasket on top came lose on mine. Sucked it right up into my shop vac.
