I had to drop a large eastern hemlock and I thought I might split it into small kindling. I know it pops like crazy but it should work out well for fire starting.Anyone use this for kindling?

I burned 1.5 cords a few years back. Pops like crazy and burns like ten. I found it worked great for getting a fire up quick and hot.

NOt only good for fire starting but you can also save the sap to add to the drinks of those who really irritate you.
