Hey Metal, what is that in your avatar?

Metal, you have a picture of a barrel stove in your avatar. But it looks like it's outside. What do you use it for?

Sort of related...The other day I noticed a guy with a stove sitting in his back yard, chimney attached, Doors wide open, burning away. Looked sort of funny. Looked like one of the older Jotul stoves with dual doors.

They are branding irons. I wish I had a cool story to go along with it, but I don't. It goes with the saying at the bottom of my posts "Just another iron in the fire," since this addictive website is just that.

Branding, for the most part, has gone the way of the Dodo Bird. We now tattoo them in the ear and then put eartags in. The tattoo is a way to identify them if the tag falls out (usually 3 or 4 letters/numbers in each ear).

My guess is he's got a side business branding gang members in the hood.
