Yep. Drive home was -35::C so that's -31::F. The boss has the T stat at 72::F. So That's 103::F differential. Far too warm in the house after a day outside. Still not cold enough for long enough to get most of the drilling/service rigs into the muskeg though. Maybe if it stays cool like this for 2-3 weeks more. Then we can get to those pipeline breaks.

Actually they all flow not at all right now. Yep diesel fuel shortage on the way.

The nat gas lines have been rerouted to other lines & the oil is being trucked, dumped, then injected into another pipeline, pricey to say the very least. I hear you though at those temps if they were exposed it would be like molasses in January so to speak.

All the local breaks are in warm water muskeg through some of the nastiest ground to cover to get to them too. Took quite awhile to find them by helicopter, all they knew was that they were loosing flow, where was the question, the big black bubbling puddle that they found was a good hint. Now they have the answer & it equals a huge bill. Furthest one is 350 km from the road through muskeg & 3 river crossings they're looking at roughly 3 billion (yes billion) rig mats just to get to the thing. Local tire recycler is running 24/7 making rubber rig mats. Rigs mats started stock pilling & being forwarded in August. The bill for that one is going to have three extra zeros at the end of the normal numbers.

You would love the patch here BB.

Just when you think you have it (her) under control mother nature kicks in some of your front teeth just to remind you who is really in charge. Always fun.
