hi thanks for having me. im form Massachusetts. i have a recently bought used hearthstone heratidge. i hac a small vermont castings intrepid.


My new old stove the hearth heratige ash door draw smells retchid a strong awful smell. the first burn stunk out the house the second the smell stayed in the ash draw. 2 weeks later the stove is great but dont open that door. how can i clean it? burn the ash compartment with a torch to burn it out? thanks Dirt
 
burned the draw. smoked and smells fine now. the door is still bad i cant burn inthe house and will the gasket burn in i take the door off and torch the inside?
 
maybe vinegar and baking soda out side. or maybe oven cleaner.
