I have a PE T6 that runs hot. With both the stove damper closed and pipe damper closed, stove top is 580.

Chimney has two elbows and is only about 20-25 feet.

Trying to get longer burns/better efficiency...

I know more details will be needed

That is a low-normal cruising temp for the T6. Our generally cruises around 650-700F with a full load.

Describe your loading and burning procedure and more about the wood that is being burned. How thick are the splits? When is the air turned down? Is there a flue thermometer on the stove pipe?

Hi BeGreen- what should flue temps be for efficient burning if stove top temp is around 600?

Yes there is a flue thermometerand it reads about 600-650. Wood is Ash/maple. A reload takes off with high flue temps but stove a bit slower to hear up...use pipe damper initially, cutting back when flue temps but 450-500 and fine tune with stove damper...our stove always cruises completely shut down
