Hey all... Just bought a like new high valley 2500 for the farmhouse we are rehabbing and living in. Chimney has a clay liner and 8 in liner fits down fine after I removed the old damper. My struggle is that liner doesn't line up with the appliance adapter. I know they make angled adapters. Is that what I need? How do I know what angle I need? Thanks

Can't push the stove in any further because of the attachment screw holes for the surround trim. What do I do?
One made for your liner and I have no idea what angle will work without being there. You may also need to clear some masonry to make more room
Thought about that.. Is there any concern with removing bricks from the original fire box?
In some areas no it's not others it's perfectly fine. You have to be able to assess the structure
To make sure you aren't taking away nessecary structure causing structural issues

Pulled the trigger and sent my check to Servicesales for my new Appalachian 52 BAY. I hope to get it before we run out of cold weather to give it a try. Will update this thread on how the install goes and my thoughts on the insert. Not to many reviews out there for this insert so I am flying...
