Well right now isn't the real test for heating ability, when the wind howls and temps get into the singles digits above or even better double digits below then you'll know what the stove can do.

Looks good Paul, enjoy the heat and go pellet hunting.

Well it sort of goes this way in years past folks get their stoves installed and it appears to be just wonderful and along comes the first multi day cold spell and things aren't so wonderful.

If your stove heats the house up on its lowest setting when it is 40 out and you have the stat set for 72 and then it turns to 8 out and the stat is still at 72 your heating requirement just doubled and all of a sudden you are at the middle heat range on your stove and things are still just wonderful but if your stove required heat level 2 at 40 then at 8 you are likely going to need heat level 4. I hope you understand where this is going.

We see it every year. Just trying to get the word out.

When it gets cold, run it in room temp manual, set the temp you want, and sit back and watch it work. All will be good.

So one thing I was told by the installer was if the igniter ever breaks it is a good idea to have some starter gel on hand. Are there any starter gels that are better than others or are they all pretty much the same? Didn't want to start a new thread just for starter gel.

    Ummmm, NO.

They all do the same thing. HD has big bottles for cheap $.

You shut that stove down to try your new green toy yet? ;)
