How long can I run a fan on an UPS?

I know it depends, but does anyone know how long the fan unit of an HI300 will run on an UPS of size (x)?

Power went out today and it made me think that an UPS might not be a bad intermediate solution to getting the generator going or waiting for power to be restored.

Thanks!
 
They are not designed to be used long term. Just short term to shut things down and then go off so I doubt it would work.
