Has anyone here bothered to measure how many quarts of ash they get per ton of pellets ? Everyone talks about high or low ash but to us newbies the talk is somewhat vague. If anyone has any ACTUAL ash/ton information by brand of pellets, it would be nice to have it posted.

All of J-Takeman's pellet reviews have ash measurement per bag burned, both weight and volume. You could easily extrapolate the numbers per ton.

ash is actually measured by weight and not volume. You will find that, depending upon species of wood used and salt contents, your volumes might vary greatly.

Mr. Takeman also has that information in his reviews.

For two sets of his reviews: https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/forums/viewthread/50101/ and https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/forums/viewthread/42511/

He is now posting reviews at http://www.woodpelletreviews.com/Pellets/Takeman-Reviews.html
