I see a nice used one online - I'm ok with buying an older stove just curious when Jotul phased out the double and went with single. Also what other changes were made?

I got my 2 door in 2001. Not sure when the change over was to 1 large door. Kinda glad I have the older model.

The single door F 400 Castine also incorporates Jøtul’s patented Oslo Handle that
allows for effortless single hand operation and has been highly successful across
