    Since there is more than one participant in a "conversation" you can't delete them. What you do is leave the conversation, upper right corner, and when all participants have done that it goes away.

    You can edit them....though...to remove the offending stuff....
    :)
    I guess they are sorta like email....you really can't delete that, even though you might think you can.
