How to put in a Catalyst Thermometer in a wood stove that does not have?

How do you put in a Catalyst Thermometer in a wood stove that dose not have?
 
Stan, sometimes you make no sense.

Anyway, if your Appalachian is like mine you have a port near the damper control rod to put the cat probe into, it might have a screw in it that needs to be taken out.

My Stove is so old it did not come with the hole for Cat Thermometer.
