I think you'll find this is the original Durock since the document was created in 2007 . . . the NextGen Durock at this time appears to not be rated for use as hearths . . . which is too bad since the 1/2 inch Durock was a great product for wood burners.
 
Correction . . . document has a 1997 copyright . . . not a 2007 . . . again making me think it refers to the older Durock.

That is correct Jake. USG is not Johnny on the spot with their website.
 
per email from USG:
Because of the reformulation of the Durock Next Gen we are no longer recommending its use as a heat shield or floor protector around wood stoves or fire places.
