This may have been mentioned already. Could not find it.

Dampen a paper towel with water.
Dip it in some ash from stove. (Very fine polishing grit)
Wash off dirt buildup.
Wipe with clean damp/wet paper towel.
Dry/buff with clean towel.

I tried it this morning and glass looks new.
Has anyone tried this??
Any chance of scratching??

I went out and bought some of that smooth top stove cleaner. Directions say to squirt some onto a paper towel and rub/buff till clean.
It worked great but needed a little elbow grease. Especially in the corners. The stuff cost me $8.00 and a bunch of paper towels

I was all proud of myself. smiling inside and feeling good.

Then my wife showed me her way of cleaning.

Dampen a sponge that has one of those scrubby sides with water. Scrub the glass. Wipe clean. Cost about $.30 and quick.

Once again.....Lisa wins the bongo button. :)

I use the same ceramic cooktop cleaner for the glass on my XXV
that I use on my electric rangetop. Works great with no worries about
scratching/etching the glass.

I use 3m Heavy Duty Rubbing Compound, can be found at any auto parts store for around $15.00 bucks. It lasts about ten years if you dont buff the car!!!!

I used Rutland Stove Glass cleaner on my previous wood stove, and it works just as well on the pellet stove....no worries.

I first use a damp paper towel to get off the majority of the dirt and then use a Magic Eraser!

They work great!

Step #1 Grab a couple sheets of paper towel

Step #2 Go to cupboard and remove your windex

Step #3 Spray windex onto the paper towel

Step #4 Wipe down glass really good

Step #5 Restart your stove

Step #6 Grab a shot of Jack and a hienekan and sit back and watch the fire glow :)

Harman users guide simply says to use any window cleaner with good percentage of ammonia. Plain old Windex has been working just fine...

I love that idea ! lol lol

Windex has an ammonia base and could leave a cloudy residue when
heated if not rinsed throughly.
A product called " Hope's Perfect Glass" is amonia free and leaves no residue.
It is availabe at Linens and things and Bed Bath and Beyond in a black bottle
Personally I find that the paper towel and fly ash works the best.

Have a warm and toasty winter
