Installed my new ignitor today and life is good! Ignition. It seems that an ignitor can be partially lit and was not hot enough to ignite stove. Thanks to all of you for your responses to my previous posts.
 
Very true. I just realized that my stove was igniting very slow, and found out that about 2/3 of the ignitor was burned out......new one on order.
