Don't think it was the Pres. riding in it. They haven't hauled the President in the few Ch-46s the HMX-1 detachment has for years now. They may have carried some escorts for him or gear in it.

Your correct he is on a Bus tour with a stop in Sandusky Oh , The Choppers must be support ??

The moter cade just went by Holy Crud I bet 40-50 vehicles 3 Buses . Funny As they went by felt my wallet get lighter!!!

If that aircraft were meant to routinely carry the President himself, it would be labeled "United States of America", not "United States Marine Corps". Not sayin' that bird isn't something special...just not that special. When I worked in the Pentagon, I would see, from time to time, a helicopter (one of a few) that was for the President...like the one in the pic below (this is the smaller version). Just as whatever fixed wing aircraft he may be riding is referred to as "Air Force One", whatever rotary wing aircraft he's on is call sign "Marine One". As BB sez, the CH-46 hasn't been the aircraft of choice for that role for some time now. Rick

Wonder if the bus is Greyhound One. :)

Wonder if the bus is Greyhound One. :)

Lots of folks seem to be calling it that. And, of course, there's no end to the hand-wringing & teeth gnashing over the fact that the bus was built in Canada. Did I say lately that I'm sick to death of partisan politics and complete refusal to compromise in the best interests of the American people? Sorry, I'm edging this thread ever closer to the Ash Can...didn't really set out to do that. Rick
