I just ordered from Pellets direct...I got 2.4ton of Independance pellets and 2 tons of Spruce Pointe.
I've burned the SP's before and like them... but the Independance are new and I'm curious if anyone has any opinions on them???

Independence pellets are Potomac pellets re-bagged, that coming from Mason at Potomac pellets.

Independence is the sister pellet of Potomac. They had a good start and have only gotten even better from those I have spoken with. They should do fine for you. You could always use the Independence for the shoulders and save the proven spruce pointes in the extreme cold.

Let us know what you think and how they compare with the sprucies?

Can't wait.....Might need to clean the stove tonight for the Heck of it!

Woodporn,
Curious on how much you paid for the Potomac Independence pellets/ton. I have a local hardware store selling them for $185/ton...seems like a good price for shoulder pellets.

I've never bought them before..so I can't say yes or no on good price. However, I paid considerably more than $185. It was $259/ton through pelletsdirect.com.
The Spruce Pointes were $259

IMHO I think you will find Potomac/Independence pellets to be much better than a shoulder season pellet. $185/ton is a steal for them ta boot!
