Question:

What sort of wood burning insert application would you recommend for a see-thru fireplace?? Please advise.

Answer:

There are no inserts made for two sided. You can use an insert in one side- and close the other side with glass doors (smoked glass) so no one can see thru. Or you can use a stove inserted into the fp- and then leave both sides open so that the heat flows out both sides. One company can make a custom two sided "heat grate" that can install- you then need a set of glass doors for each side. This heats up the room- but not nearly as efficient as an insert.
