I'm thinking of putting a pellet insert on my main level, but I may have enough room to put in a full sized stove instead. Generally speaking, what's the difference in heat output from an insert vs a stove? The main level is about 800 square feet - will an insert give off enough heat for this?

We're heating 2200 square feet with an insert, so... yes, an insert will do the job.
