I have a masonry chimney with clay flu's. I'm planning on bricking the chimney to add to it's appearence.

I did not have the chimney insulated as it was being built. Is there any way I can insulate the chimney.

One individula said to get it lined with the insulation?

Suggestions

Lining is the safest way, and best for stove performance.
You would slide a 6" SS flex liner wrapped in 1/2" insulation with a foil back down the clay tiles.
Bottom connection will depend on stove or insert, through wall or into fireplace.
