Hmmm... This Craigslist listing today in NH: "Electric...Wood burning stove. Bought new in December for $129.00 Hardley used Great Condition. Stove is Black" Also icluded is a kind of blurry picture of what looks like a wood burning stove but its kind of dark so you can't really see. I'm really not sure what an electric wood burning stove is. Do you plug it in and the wood burns?

My buddy just bought a nice condo with a working fireplace that has a simulated elctric insert in it. It actually looks really good, but when you get near it there is no warmth. I mean none. You touch it and its room temperature. Somehow that is just plain wrong. It's like your head and your body can't quite resolve this, a fire with no heat. It's kind of like the inflatable dolls of fireplaces, you know?

Somewhere, right now, there is an inflatable doll feeling rather hurt and ashamed of itself. :blank:

OOopps, didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. Don't want to become the Imus of Hearth.com.

jpl1nh,

Due to your recent discrimination of some stoves based on the superficial charecteristic of fuel burned, we're going to have to let you go.

May the curse of electric..wood stoves never visit your hearth!! >:-(
