jotul firelight model 12

hi everybody i just bought a jotul firelight model 12 and guess what the gas chamber and everything associated whit it including the catalytic its gone..my question its that did any one ever run this kind of stoves without the gas chamber and catalyst ? or if can be used without ..please help me i know how much the gas chamber cost and im not ready to spend around 500 dollars now .thank you i really appreciated any help

Just to be sure this is the cat model, does it have the foot pedal on the bottom right and bypass lever on the side?

yes its the cat model whit the foot pedal
