Thanks for the info. I saw a listing for free wood on craigs list and it turned out to be a neighbor right around the corner from me. I am spending the weekend splitting and hauling a bunch of maple and fir from two 50 year old trees out of a neighbors backyard; I am set for next year and part of the following year too...
