I was wondering if I could 90 right out the top of the stove? I was wanting to top vent it, so when I went to clean the chimney I could just remove the 90 and push straight out to the clean out tee. Another question what it the clearence between the stove and a mantle? I was confused by the book I received, is it 18"?

Thanks,
Mike

The clearance between the stove and the mantle is 30". From the stove pipe it's 18". A 90 would be less than ideal. Just get pipe with a slip section so it can be easily removed.

Bad plan, use the rear vent. To clean the stove, just pull the top and you will have your straight shot to the tee.

Alright thanks webby and begreen! Those were the answers I was looking for!
