key damper on double wall?

They make them with the damper already installed in a 6" section of the double-wall pipe.
 
and how would you know if you need one .my fire is steady when turned down but i would like to get longer burns. wood was not the best but not soaked.better wood next winter,just wondering if it would help
 
IIRC there is a very tall chimney on this stove. I would be inclined to add a key damper based on the chimney height.
