Saturday we went to a wedding but before we went I split another load of basswood for kindling. Looks like today we might have some rain early on but I'll still plan on cutting.

Zap, I'm wondering why you make your kindling so big?

I'll have plenty of kindling this year after a remodel on our soon to be daughters nursery. I have a large pile of lathe boards from the walls of the room. I basically look at them and they burn. I split down some cottonwood last year like that and it worked well.

Not any real good reason Sav but it worked well last year.
