According to the owners manual on the US Stoves website, the 5510 is designed to burn wood pellets only. There is no mention of corn or any other fuel, so it is obviously NOT considered a multi-fuel stove......sorry.

Thats what I figured! but I have be confused lately reading other sites that are selling the 5510 as a multi fuel stove. Or sounding like it might do both. Check this out.

I didn't see anything in that ad that indicated that the 5510 might be a multi-fuel.

Maybe it the way I read it but on the bottom of the ad it says "This King Pellet Stove is one of many top quality items in our Corn and Pellet Stoves department." I just misread what that implied I guess. Sorry.

Read that line carefully:

“This King Pellet Stove is one of many top quality items in our Corn and Pellet Stoves department.” It doesn't mean that ALL the stoves are designed to burn corn, or anything else for that matter.

And as for the other ads you mentioned, that means nothing to me. What it says (or in this case, DOESN'T say), in the OWNERS MANUAL is what I'd go by.

Sure, I can burn garbage in my stove if I want to, but that doesn't mean it was designed to do that.

If you burn anything other than wood pellets in the stove, and have problems, you may find out that you voided the warranty.

This is the multi-fuel stove from USSC. Just installed one last Thursday. It has a funky 40 minute shutdown cycle. Good thing I work by the hour. The first 3 are same stove with different options. The bottom one is like the King stove with an agitator in the burn pot.

heres a link: http://usstove.com/products.php?cat=2

From the website of USSC: the King 5510 - This is a PELLET ONLY unit!!
