Hey all,
I am attempting to install a Buck 91 with a 8" liner. I have not ordered the liner yet. I want to make sure it will fit. Today I cut out the damper and frame. I also removed some firebrick from the back of the box. It looked to be adequate room for a 8" liner but found an issue. Beyond the damper the clearance shrinks to about 7". Don't see any real way to get more space. The long metal sloped plate in the pictures is backed by solid masonry. Can I just pinch a 8" liner and pull it through? Will it keep its shape or kink? Liner salesmen mentioned ovaling but that is $30 per foot. Should I pinch it, reduce to 7", or have a few feet ovaled? Thanks
