image.jpg Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a pipe temperature for this setup? It's a Flex king pro and runs up past the lintel in a short distance. I have an IR gun but it's pretty hard to get a consistent reading on the adjustable elbow. Move it a quarter of an inch and it changes by 30plus degrees.

Is this the downside of the fireplace setup?
