well guys it's june 4th and woke up this morning to a light snow nothing stuck but still got me thinkin. so i went and checked on a big score that some friends alerted me to a couple weeks ago. its at a construction site in the city so i never really had the time to go and check on it but made the time today! glad i did the wood is all still there mostly maple and elm i think wild guess probably 5-8 cords worth. talked to the site forman and company owner and they gave me the go ahead to take as much as i want :) so me and a friend are heading in tomorrow morning to get as much as we can!! pics to follow.......... went this morning and got some wood, didn't get as much as i would have liked today started raining and had company come over this afternoon. filled a friends truck for him and got these for myself, not a bad start these are all about 3.5 feet long. we barely made a dent in the pile , hoping to go back and get some more.

Nice score on the wood prairiefire and I am looking forward to the pictures, the snow part sucks but it could be worse.

You're lucky!! Around here and scores like this don't last but a few days.

Great find and you are fortunate the wood is still there. Get all you can! As for the snow, yes, it happens but a month from now you'll probably be roasting. The wood will keep you roasting well into the winter months.
