My FIL cut some nice limbs off his apple trees. I am keeping the smaller branches for my smoker!

Does apple have about a 2 year seasoning time?

2 years is good for apple. Some say only a year but I'd go for 2. Nice score there.
 
Those are just limbs?! How big is the doggone tree!

I have a cubic foot or so of apple chunks set aside for smoking/grilling as well. The stuff i have has a nice red color to it.

Ramon- Yeah they were just limbs. I should say they were 2 limbs off two different trees. Probably 35 year old trees. You should see the trunk on one of them!
