I have a brand new husqvarna 372 08/09 model. I purchased a tach so I could set the carb myself. I fired it up with the tach installed and according to the spec's it's revving too high when wide open. I thought I had some adjustment available to me, I can't seem to move the plastic ended screws, and I can't figure out how to get the locking device off without breaking something. There is an initial black plastic/rubber outer cap or screwdriver aligner and that just unlocks off the outer body of the saw it came off easy, it's the rest I can't figure out. I don't want to break a new saw. But I need to slow it down. Can anyone help.

Thanks, Rae

you should retun the saw back to the dealer you bought it from and let him adjust the saw to the proper RPM. the saw was delivered to him that way and he should be the one to correct it. i tell ALL my customers that buy from me to leave the carb adjustments ALONE and have me adust the carb if needed and when i see that they have fiddled with the carb and there is a seizure problem its NO WARRANTY for them case closed. i've been sellin' too long and had too many "STORIES". and now these new EPA saws like you got AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH.....take it back and let him do it right (if he's not a green horn & does not know how to do it)
