The stove is marketed to achieve 12 hr burn times.

I'd like to know from some owners what kind of burn times they are getting.

How do they define burn time, and what kind of wood are they using.

Thanks,

I'm trying to make the best choice between two stoves and was hoping to get some actual numbers
from people who own them. I tend to be very skeptical of marketing :)

I don't think there are many Kuma owners here. . .while you're waiting, you might want to measure the firebox's actual usable space, L x W x H into which you can stuff wood, ignoring nooks & crannies, space above burn tubes, etc. If they are like most mfr's, it will be significantly less than their published spec of 2.3 Ft3.

IIRC, you're burning lodgepole pine. I'm not gonna say it's impossible, but we don't have many reports of 12-hr burns in ~ 2-Ft3 non-cats filled with softwood.;hm
