I have the opportunity to buy an old M-520 Lopi, completely pre-EPA. It has draft control slider handles above and below the door that open/close holes to allow air to enter the stove. It has an 8" flue, and the firebox is definitely deeper than a Liberty. The width looks the same, but I did not measure. The door opening looks the same as well.

Does anyone know/think that the Liberty baffle/bypass, and air system will retrofit and install in a 520? I asked the local dealer, he said he would do some research, but didn't think some of it would be very easy, the air system in particular.

Thoughts on retrofitting, and thoughts on reasonable price for the 520 are appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott
