Lopi N-XT outside air kit

We purchased a Lopi X-NT woodstove and have installed it on a pedestal as a free stander. Does anyone know if there is a good way to bring outside air in? We can install an outside air kit which will bring outside air into the pedestal, but how does the outside air actually get into the stove? The pedestal base sits snug up against the bottom of the stove and there are no knockouts on the bottom. I know this may sound really ignorant but would appreciate any help I can get.
